Meditation Week on the Isle of Islay
During the last week of February every year the facilities at Smaull Farmhouse on the Hebridean island of Islay are set aside for High Peak Meditation.
This is not a formal course as such, but simply an opportunity for anyone who practices
High Peak to give more time to meditation. People can attend for part or all of the week, as they wish. There is a timetable with sessions for meditation throughout the day and evening, time for walks and plenty of opportunity for discussion about meditation and matters relating to it. Meditations are held together in a converted barn, with accommodation in a comfortable, self-contained cottage, and meals in the main farmhouse.
A charge of £20./day is made to cover the costs of catering and accommodation, and an extra £20. for people requiring transport to and from the ferry terminal or airport.
